Midfielder Shinji Kagawa says he is far from pleased with his performance at Manchester United so far.
The Japan international joined the Red Devils from
Borussia Dortmund in June, where he got 17 goals last season, but he has
not lived up to that form in England.
The 23-year-old has often found himself left out of the starting XI
at United, as happened in their 4-2 win over Stoke on Saturday.
"To be honest, I don't believe I have yet cemented my place," Kagawa told Japanese news agency Kyodo News.
"There is not one game that I can be satisfied with the way I played
over the 90 minutes. I still feel I need more time to adapt.
"It is fate for any player that plays for a big club and I am trying to draw on the positives."
Alex Ferguson has put Kagawa on a special fitness regime to increase
his strength, but the player admits he needs to work on his English too.
"I need to communicate better so I can get my timing right when asking for the ball and things like that," he says.
"But more importantly I need to push and show my strengths. You gain trust when you deliver results.
