Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand are out of England's World Cup qualifier in Poland on Tuesday with injury and illness respectively.
Both missed Friday's win over San Marino with the same ailments and it was decided not to risk them.
Roy Hodgson's squad fly out to Warsaw on Monday morning.
Arsenal's Theo Walcott has already been ruled out with a chest injury sustained in Friday's 5-0 victory but skipper Steven Gerrard returns from suspension.
The decision on Lampard and Bertrand was made after the squad assembled at England's training camp in Watford on Sunday.
Lampard, 34, who has won 93 caps, is still hampered by a calf problem.
Stamford Bridge team-mate Bertrand, 23, who made his England debut in August, has been troubled by a virus.
Hodgson is expected to make a host of changes from the side that beat San Marino - with Chelsea's Ashley Cole likely to return at left-back to win his 99th cap at the expense of Everton's Leighton Baines.

Remaining England fixtures

16 October 2012 v Poland (away)
22 Mar 2013 v San Marino (away)
26 Mar 2013 v Montenegro (away)
6 Sep 2013 v Moldova (home)
10 Sep 2013 v Ukraine (away)
11 Oct 2013 v Montenegro (home)
15 Oct 2013 v Poland (home)
Baines has been in outstanding form this season and Everton team-mate Phil Jagielka admits it will not be an easy decision. "Getting to watch Bainesy from a closer view than most, he has had a fantastic start to the season at club level and international level," he said.
"You've got Ashley Cole on 98 caps, a fantastic left-back, and then you've got the in-form player in the Premier League in Leighton Baines. As far as the manager goes he is going to have a bit of a headache but it will be a nice headache.
"I'm just glad I don't have to make that decision. I think I'd be tossing a coin, heads or tails, but I'm sure the manager will make the right decision."
Liverpool's Glen Johnson will return at right-back in place of Kyle Walker while Manchester City's reliable James Milner provides the obvious alternative to Walcott on that flank.
Jermain Defoe is favourite to start alongside Wayne Rooney in attack despite Danny Welbeck's two goals against San Marino while Joleon Lescott should be back to partner Jagielka in central defence.
Gerrard, who served a one-match ban for his sending-off against Ukraine, is set to partner Michael Carrick in central midfield.
England are top of Group H after taking seven points from their opening three matches.
Poland, who are currently third after drawing with Montenegro and beating Moldova, are likely to be without captain Jakub Blaszczykowski and Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Defender Lukasz Piszczek and midfielder Eugen Polanski are also doubtful as Poland seek their first victory over England since their only competitive success in 1973.
The team warmed up for Tuesday's game with a 1-0 friendly win over South Africa in Warsaw on Friday, defender Marcin Komorowski scoring a late winner.
Coach Waldemar Fornalik, who took charge after the Euro 2012 campaign when the team failed to qualify for the quarter-finals, said: "We didn't play badly. We showed we are a team. We created a lot of scoring chances, although it was too bad we only took one of them."
